Our formula avoids excessive darkening and prevents an overly shiny finish, ensuring your leather retains its authentic beauty.  This unique combination ensures the balm accentuates the natural highlights of full-grain leather without excessive darkening. 

A Layered Approach to Leather Care

Our strategy is to create a layered effect of moisturizing and waterproofing:   

Rich Nourishment
Cacao butter and coconut butter, with their thicker consistency, feed the leather at a shallow level while imparting a subtle, pleasant aroma.  The Sweet almond oil which is more refined dives deeper into the leather. Its carefully balanced ratio ensures the leather maintains its structure without becoming overly soft.

Durable Protection
Beeswax from local sources and carnauba wax (from the Copernicia prunifera tree), offer a robust waterproof layer. Their differing melting points create a protective layering effect, enhancing durability and resilience. 

Subtle Aroma
Finally, we include sea buckthorn essential oil, one of the most potent natural oils. It enriches the balm with additional nutrients and a delicate chocolaty aroma, completing the formula. 

Ethical and Thoughtful Formulation

We consciously avoided animal fat sources like lanolin, which can trigger allergies, and mink oil, known to overly darken and soften leather. Moreover, finding an ethical source for mink oil proved challenging. Our commitment to ethical sourcing and environmentally friendly practices allows us to stand proudly behind this product, confident in its benefits for both the leather and the user.
